Taking a stroll down Main Street USA, I was drawn to a portrait of a woman beneath which is inscribed The Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour. On closer inspection, it was an ice-cream and sweets restaurant, decorated in a style reminiscent of early 20th-century American ice-cream parlors. The interior is elegant and full of charm. The antique decor adds a pleasant vintage feel.
If you sit down at a table and look at the glacier’s menu, you’ll see that the number of possibilities is quite large. You can choose between one scoop (3.59 euros), two scoops (4.29 euros) and three scoops (4.99 euros). There are exactly eight flavors to choose from, including vanilla & cookie dough, chocolate & brownie, strawberry, vanilla, caramel & honey and peanut butter. For 1 euro more, you get a Topping supplement. As is often the case with Disneyland restaurants, “The Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour” offers an Instant Delight menu. Here, it’s a hot drink accompanied by a Nutella-filled muffin or a glazed donut, priced at 5.59 euros.
Service may seem slow, but that’s to be expected given how busy the ice cream parlour is. But it’s worth waiting a few minutes, because the reward will be a succulent ice cream. I highly recommend “The Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour” if you fancy a little refreshment.
