Sequoia Lodge Hotel is one of my favorite Disneyland hotels. It has a very family-friendly atmosphere and a warm ambiance. Sometimes, depending on my mood, I find it a bit too dimly lit. However, most of the time, this subdued lighting adds to the hotel’s relaxing charm, especially after a long sunny day. The wooden theme also creates a cozy feel that is perfect for winter and autumn evenings. Let’s explore more about this hotel together.
Presentation and Reviews
Sequoia Lodge is a 3-key hotel, which is considered excellent quality for Disneyland standards. It is located on the shores of Lake Disney, just a ten-minute walk from the gates of Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. The hotel has received a rating of 4.0 out of 5 on the TripAdvisor website, indicating its high quality. Travelers have enjoyed their stay at Sequoia Lodge so much that the hotel has been awarded the “Traveler’s Choice Winner 2019” by TripAdvisor, placing it among the top 1% of all hotels.
Is this opinion about Sequoia Lodge justified? Yes, I completely agree with this opinion. Sequoia Lodge offers excellent amenities, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. I always have a wonderful time with my family there. Sequoia Lodge is a reliable choice for a successful holidays at Disneyland.
Location of Sequoia Lodge.
As mentioned earlier, Sequoia Lodge is located on the shores of Lake Disney. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the park gates (depending on whether you stroll through Disney Village or not). Sequoia Lodge is surrounded by trees and lush vegetation, making it the most “green” Disney hotel in the park area.
To give you an idea, I have marked in red the pedestrian route to take in the morning to go and enjoy Disneyland!
In this map of the Sequoia Lodge, you can see all the green roofs. These are the roofs of the hotel. Notice that the hotel consists of a large main building and six detached buildings. The restaurants, shops, reception, etc., are located in the main building, along with some rooms, suites, and the club. The smaller buildings next to the main one only contain rooms. Also on the image, although it may be a bit small to see clearly, you can see that the buildings are connected by covered walkways. So, everything is fine in case of rain.
Sequoia Lodge restaurants
Hunter’s Grill and Beaver Creek Tavern
Two restaurants are available, the Hunter’s Grill and the Beaver Creek Tavern. They are located on the ground floor of the hotel and overlook the lake. To give you an idea of the prices at the restaurants in the Sequoia Lodge, a coke costs 5€ and an all-you-can-eat buffet for adults is priced at 45€.
Both restaurants receive excellent reviews online. And it’s true that, even though the prices may seem expensive (5€ for a coke), the restaurant’s setting reminds us that we should enjoy the moment. The restaurant staff is particularly attentive. I’ll add one more thing: the staff at Disneyland Paris is absolutely fabulous, both in the park and in the hotels and restaurants.
These two restaurants are accessible without a reservation, but I strongly advise you to make a reservation if you want to dine there in the evening or for breakfast. They are quite popular and therefore often fully booked.
Redwood Bar and Lounge
As its name suggests, the Redwood Bar is both a lounge and a bar. The cozy atmosphere invites relaxation and rejuvenation. You don’t have to wait for autumn to visit it with your family. Personally, I think it would be lovely to gather here in winter, around the open fireplace that is part of the decor. Stone cladding, woodwork, armchairs, sofas, coffee tables, and more. Everything inside the lounge enhances its upscale ambiance. The Redwood Bar and Lounge is actually located on the first floor of Disney’s Sequoia Lodge. It’s not exactly a Disney restaurant, but it’s a great place to have a good time.
The cocktails at the Redwood Bar are unique, although their prices vary. They follow the pricing structure of all Disney hotels. During our holidays, I tried the Grant Groove, while my wife had the Alder Creek. We were treated well at the Redwood Bar & Lounge. The staff was patient and friendly, to the point where our children asked us to stay for an extra day. Moreover, they didn’t get bored because there is a play area nearby.
Sequoia Lodge rooms
Just like other hotels in the Disneyland park, there are different room configurations and levels of amenities at the Sequoia Lodge.
Standard room
The Standard Room at Sequoia Lodge is the basic room type of the hotel. It is the most affordable option available. This room features two double beds. In total, a standard room can accommodate up to 4 people. There is also a bathroom with a large sink and mirror, as well as a bathtub. The sink area is separate from the shower area with the bathtub.
Of course, the price of a room includes the level of service that is provided with the room. The Standard Rooms at Sequoia Lodge are located in lodges separate from the main hotel building.
As a result, you will be farther away from the services offered by the hotel, and breakfast is not included in the price of your Standard Room. However, your room is equipped with the following amenities:

Standard Room near hotel services
The Standard Room at Sequoia Lodge, which is located near the hotel’s services, is also commonly referred to as the Montana Sequoia Lodge room. The Montana room is almost the same as the standard room with one difference: by booking this room, you ensure that you are close to the hotel’s services. The Montana Sequoia Lodge room is available in two models.
The first is a room that can accommodate up to 2 people and provides a double bed. The second is a room that can accommodate up to 4 people with two double beds. Each of these rooms can offer a lake view if you add a supplement to the base price of the room.
Breakfast is still not included in the room price, but you still have access to the same amenities as in the standard Sequoia Lodge room.
Golden Forest Club Room
The Golden Forest Club room is located in the main building of the hotel and is included in the club. What sets it apart from the standard room or the Montana room is that the room price includes certain additional services due to its connection to the Golden Forest Club.
Each Golden Forest Club room is offered with two double beds to accommodate up to 4 people. With an additional fee, you can have a room with a view of the lake.
Additionally, you have breakfast included per day and per person.
You also have access to certain club-related services, which include:
- Private reception
- Luggage service
- Tea and espresso available
- American buffet breakfast from 7am to 11am
- Sweet and savory snacks from 4pm to 5:30pm
- Access to the private lounge from 7am to 10:30pm with hot beverages and non-alcoholic drinks service
As for the room amenities, they are the same as the standard and Montana rooms, with the addition of a mini-refrigerator.
Golden Forest Club Suite
The Golden Forest Club Suite is the most prestigious room in the hotel, and for good reason. This suite offers the same club services as the Golden Forest Club room at Sequoia Lodge. This includes daily breakfast included for each person. In addition to that, the suite offers you 55m² of space to relax with your family or friends, accommodating up to 4 people.
The suite features a separate bedroom from the rest of the suite with a large double bed. For the other two people, the remaining part of the suite includes a sofa bed that can accommodate one adult or two children. This suite not only offers comfort but also ensures pleasant holidays.
The amenities of the suite are the same as those of the Golden Forest Club room, which include:

- Access to the private lounge with complimentary beverages (non-alcoholic)
- Sweet snacks for afternoon tea.

Rates for room-only at Sequoia Lodge Paris
It is possible to book a hotel night at Sequoia Lodge without an entrance ticket to the park. This is commonly referred to as a “room-only” This type of reservation must be made through Disneyland’s central phone reservation system and may not be available on all dates. The price of a dry night at Sequoia Lodge Disneyland Paris varies depending on the time of year, crowd levels, and specific dates. The lowest starting price I found is £167 per night.
Naturally, it is more advantageous to take a hotel + park package than to book a dry night.
