Mysteries of the Nautilus – Disneyland attraction

the mysteries of the Nautilus

The Nautilus Mysteries aroused my curiosity. Based directly on the film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, this incredible Disney attraction reveals all the secrets of the famous Captain Nemo. To unlock the mysteries of the Nautilus, you have to go on foot, which wasn’t at all unpleasant with the setting evoking Captain Nemo’s submersible. As a group, we visited six successive rooms.

We first passed through the ballast compartment. This place hides the precious treasures collected by Captain Nemo over the years. Ned Land’s guitar was there too. She was laid on a bed filled with gold coins and jewels. Then there was the captain’s room. She immersed us in Nemo’s private life. We were able to imagine his daily life on the submarine. Adjoining a bathroom, the room contains several of the Captain’s objects. We then moved on to the map room. It contains all the practical information we need to find our way around. I noticed that one of the charts was dedicated to the island of Vulcania, one of the captain’s haunts. Our visit continues with a tour of the diving chamber and the grand salon. The latter was really interesting. The premises contain rare pieces from the seabed, as well as numerous works of art. Our tour ends with a visit to the engine room.

In this Discoveryland attraction, the mood of the film is perfectly captured. You can see for yourself if you feel like it. In fact, I recommend this instructive family visit.
