Ratatouille, Rémy’s Totally Mad Adventure – Disneyland Attraction

Ratatouille attraction building

During my visit to Disneyland Paris, my tour of the lands ends at the attraction inspired by my favorite Disney film, Ratatouille, Rémy’s Totally Crazy Adventure. As I loved this film, I was delighted to relive it in Gusteau’s kitchen.

Ratatouille, l’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy recently opened at Disneyland Paris. Since then, she has enjoyed nothing but success. Or so they say. So I put it to the test. I was there in high season, and had to wait a long time to get in. However, it’s well worth it with the fun that awaits you. If you’d like to give it a try, this attraction is located at Walt Disney Studio, at the far end of Toon Studio between Toy Story Playland and Crush’s Coaster.

An attraction with an innovative concept

Ratatouille, l’Aventure Totally Toquée de Rémy is a new Disney Studio attraction. She’s stunning, being the “dark side” type. To put you in the mood for the different scenarios, here’s how it works:

All participants are equipped with 3D glasses. As soon as we enter, we find ourselves at night on the Parisian roof. We are greeted by the sign of the regularly animated Gusteau restaurant. Inside, rat-shaped Ratmobiles are ready to take you on a chase. Unlike other similar attractions in the park, the vehicles do not run on rails. They move freely at random on a smooth floor. Ratmobiles travel in groups of three, each taking a slightly different route. This way, if you replay several times, you won’t have the impression of reliving the same scenes.

A frantic chase through a gigantic kitchen

Our adventure began as we boarded the Ratmobile to cross the kitchen of the restaurant where Rémy’s inseparable ally, Linguini, works. However, just like in the film, nothing goes according to plan. We’ll be hunted down by the irascible Chief Skinner. This is how we are involuntarily projected from the kitchen, where objects, various foods and desserts are thrown. Afterwards, Linguini makes a last ditch attempt to rescue us, and tries to open the pantry so we can hide, but once inside, surprises await us. Clearly, we were probably not the only incongruous people in these parts. Amongst the various victuals, we observed little blinking eyes and heard crunching teeth. It’s at this point that we find ourselves back in the kitchen, where Linguini is vainly trying to hide the leaky rodents from Chef Skinner. To save us, he reveals a mouse hole that will lead us straight into the restaurant’s walls. Our adventure ends in Remy’s Ratatouille kitchen. Here, Rémy and his rodent brigade prepare the famous dish for which he is famous. We’re then sent back upstairs to Rémy’s Bistrot. As he serves you, he thanks you and all the participants for coming. Want to play? It’s a good idea to put into practice. See you in the off-season and give us the pleasure of reading you again!
