Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – Disneyland Attraction

Admit it, you know the tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs by heart. You were introduced to it as a child, but you’ve never experienced it in real life. Well, come to Paris to experience the attraction, if you feel like it!

You’re in the middle of Fantasyland, next to Lancelot’s Carrousel. You enter a large, castle-like building, which you can visit on foot like a museum. We did just that, even though we were invited to take a seat in a beautifully sculpted wagon that was supposed to transport us to the enchanted world of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

So let’s start at the beginning. The entrance reads “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. It’s clear that you’re going to relive history. In a room lit by a reddish glow, you see potions beside a skeleton trinket, and hear the witch cackle. An open book illustrates the poisoned apple, but also the antidote.

Then comes the thatched cottage of the seven dwarfs, with its lively atmosphere. Total darkness follows. You don’t know whether you’re in the forest, the Queen’s castle or the mine, but a ghastly voice greets you, and it’s here that the Queen, transformed into an old hag, appears before the happy ending.

A frightening experience, as some people say? For the little ones, no doubt. In my opinion, if the witch were more human-looking, she’d scare me a lot more, but here she’s a little too unreal for my taste, but given that the experience is aimed more at children, it works.
